Cubs Win A Very Important Game
Matt Clement looked bothered throughout the night, but he pitched 7 innings a only gave up an unearned run. The Cubs took game one 4-1.
The hitters came out early and then went to bed after late in the game. Mark Prior goes tomorrow and Houston plays the Rockies. The Cubs did what they had to, that is win while the Astros are off. The Cub are 1.5 back with 12 to play and the Astros have 13 left. The Cubs have most the weekend set, except for one of the games of the double header. The Astros next 9 games are real tough, as they play the Rockies and Cardinals on the road, execpt the Cardinals look defeated. Then the Giants come to Houston, but lets take of our own games first.
